About Us

Freak Street Studios: We are an artist led initiative representing a diverse cooperative of fine artists and crafts people. Having worked closely with Bristol City Council, Capacity, The invisible Circus and Art Space Life Space to obtain the space, we have over the last year been renovating the building into a useable state. We aim to support and generate creativity by providing a supportive environment through the provision of space, resources and training. This will increase opportunities and access to participation in the arts for a diverse range of people. The facilities available will act as a catalyst for experimentation and collaboration as well as a place to exhibit work for the general public. Freak Street Gallery hosts a programme of regular exhibitions and art events promoting artists and their work from throughout Bristol and beyond. The gallery space is available to hire for artists’ projects, meetings, presentations, rehearsals and workshops. We are eager to hear from and meet local and regional artists who wish to collaborate, share skills, experiment or exhibit in the space.
